Share surveys anywhere using direct links and downloadable QR codes.

Link Surveys

Link surveys give you a shareable URL that opens your survey in a standalone page. Anyone with the link can respond โ€” no Shopify store visit required. This makes link surveys the most versatile survey type, perfect for reaching customers wherever they are. When to Use Link Surveys - Packaging inserts โ€” Print a QR code on a card inside your shipments. Customers scan and respond. - Social media โ€” Share the link in your Instagram bio, Twitter posts, or Facebook groups. - Manual emails โ€” Include the survey link in newsletters or one-off emails you send outside of UserLoop. - SMS โ€” Text the link directly to customers. - In-store โ€” Print a QR code for your physical retail location or pop-up shop. - Partner channels โ€” Share with affiliates, influencers, or retail partners to collect feedback. Creating a Link Survey 1. Go to Surveys in the left menu and click New Survey. 2. Select Link from the list of survey types, then click Create Survey. 3. Add your questions, configure the design and settings. 4. Click the Share button in the top-right corner to get your survey URL. Your survey link will look like: https://survey.userloop.io/your-survey-slug Sharing Options Once your link survey is created, you have several ways to share it: Direct link โ€” Copy the URL and paste it anywhere. The survey opens in a clean, branded page. QR code โ€” Click the QR code icon in the top-right corner to generate a downloadable QR code image. This is perfect for print materials like packaging inserts, business cards, or in-store signage. Responses from QR code scans are tagged with the QR Code Scan trigger so you can track that channel separately. Custom Domains On the Plus plan, you can use a custom subdomain for your survey links (e.g. feedback.yourstore.com instead of survey.userloop.io). See the Custom Domains article for setup instructions. Supported Question Types Link surveys support all of UserLoop's question types: - Single Select โ€” radio button choices - Multi Select โ€” checkbox choices - NPS / Number Score โ€” rating scales - Open Ended โ€” free text input - Email โ€” email address collection - Date โ€” date picker - CSAT โ€” customer satisfaction - Video โ€” record or upload a video response (up to 2 minutes) Video questions are fully supported in link surveys, making them the best option for collecting video testimonials or product feedback. Passing Customer Data If you're sharing the link in a context where you know who the customer is (e.g. in an email), you can append query parameters to pre-fill customer data: https://survey.userloop.io/[email protected] This links the response to the customer's record without asking them to enter their email. Design and Customization Link surveys support all the same design options as other survey types: - Button color โ€” Set the accent color for your survey. - Logo โ€” Display your company logo at the top of the survey. - Thank-you page โ€” Customize the heading, sub heading, and optional CTA button. - Rewards โ€” Offer discount codes on completion. - Languages โ€” Auto-translate into 50+ languages. - Progress bar โ€” Show respondents how far through the survey they are.
